Health insurance
All students must take out (Dutch) health insurance or ensure that their health insurance from their country of origin covers all medical costs in the Netherlands, including costs for physiotherapy, X-rays, MRI scans, blood tests, etc.
In addition to the compulsory (Dutch) Basic Health Insurance, students are encouraged to take out supplementary insurance that covers the costs of physiotherapy, X-rays, MRI scans, etc.

Liability Insurance / Travel Insurance
All students are advised to purchase liability insurance and travel insurance with worldwide coverage.
Family doctor
When moving to Amsterdam, all students must be registered with a GP near their place of residence. The visit to the GP is free and is covered by the Dutch Basic Health Insurance. More information can be found on the intranet.
