Summary
This intensive is a preparatory module for the solo-performer project in block 3 (creation of a solo as a creator-performer)
It’s focus is threefold:
1 Performer’s personal signature. Recognising one’s imaginary body (underlying personal signature of posture, tonus, flow, movement impulse and intention) is a precious help for consolidating one’s existing know-how. This base supports and motivates the work of deconstruction that is inherent to the creation of a poetic language.
2 Understanding of a choreographic work. We’ll displace the dance work towards its « text », which becomes the support for the creation. We’ll study aspects of vocabulary, syntax, phrasing, assemblage and transformation of material, as well as macro organisation of the material inherent to choreographic writing.
3 Collaborative experience within a process of a solo creation. We’ll use methods of common practice, peer observation, peer feedback, exchange of ideas, discussion. Collaboration in a solo work is not a contradiction, on the contrary it is its necessary component.

The three starting ideas listed above are the source of different practices as well as moments of observation and discussion during our time together.
