The study load of the program is approximately 40 hours per week on average; it consists of group lessons and self-study hours in which the student is expected to study independently. The National Ballet Academy tries to distribute the study load as evenly as possible over the academic year.
In general, school days can start at 8:30 am and end at 6:00 pm with regular breaks. Students are often required to attend performances or to participate in the organization of rehearsals and presentations in the evenings and/or weekends.
Two days a week are devoted to theoretical subjects, the other days are for self-study and other non-regular activities.
