The various courses at the Academy of Theatre and Dance realise as many as 600 different dance and theatre productions every year. To make this possible, the school has a fully equipped Dance Theatre, three highly flexible black box halls, a professional sound studio, a scale theatre (1 in 4) and over thirty studios, where students can develop and present presentations independently.
The technology and facilities of these rooms and the maintenance of the professional technical equipment are provided by the enthusiastic team of the Theatre Technology Department (ATT). They also teach classes in lighting, sound, video and safety. They also give advice, create designs for lighting, sound and video and supervise students in their performances.
The ATT has a Rental where lighting, sound and video equipment can be borrowed for use during projects and performances. This can be done independently after instruction, but also under the supervision of a technician. For collection and return of equipment and content questions, an appointment can be made via mail at att@ahk.nl.
The ATT is located on the ground floor, behind the theatre hall.
