The Amsterdam University of the Arts has a University Council (HR) and every academy of the university has an Academy Council (AR) and one or more Education Committees (OC). Within the ATD these are organized per domain. There is a Theater, Dance and Masters program committee.
These participation councils are the formal bodies for students and staff with whom the Executive Board and the school boards discuss policy and educational matters.

The Hogeschoolraad (HR) deals with subjects that concern the entire university of applied sciences. The ARs deal with subjects that concern the academy and go beyond the study programmes. The Education Committees are concerned with safeguarding the quality of education within the programmes in one domain.

The councils have rights of consent and consultation, depending on the topic. These rights are listed in the co-determination regulations found on the website
This is also where you can find more information about co-determination.
