The confrontation between students and choreographers, the rehearsal process and the presentation of performances are important components of the study programme. Education that focuses on presentation and performance, allocates time for repertoire studies and rehearsing existing and new choreographies. In this way students gain insight in the way in which various elements come together during a work process: dance technique and style, analysis / understanding of movement material, choreographic and musical forms and structures, use of space, collaboration with fellow dancers, makers, technicians and the costume studio.
Various choreographers from the professional dance field are invited to work with the students, so that each student has the opportunity to take part in at least two dance productions. In senior study years, participating in auditions is also dealt with.
