Study guide

Supplementary education consists of study guidance lessons and short-term courses. These consist of an interview with a fellow student, formulating a personal dance vision, writing a report on consultations held with the study advisor, drawing up a CV and a letter of application and completing two work field assignments.

Student counselling is a compulsory part of the curriculum for all dance courses during the first academic year. There is a weekly contact hour during which students are taught study and reflection skills. Moreover, the study coach acquaints students with the circumstances of their study and how the school is organized. In the second and third year, mentors take over these tasks. Various short-term courses are arranged during the second and third academic years, including modules on lighting, video, sound editing and making a dance video under the direction of Cinedans.
