Short summary of the content
The Male Technique and Pointes classes are an extension of the classical ballet class in which the focus for the boys is on complex jumps and turns and for the girls on the extensive point work. In addition to expanding and improving the technique, students work on developing their bravura technique. The classes are also preparatory, as the material that is being worked on is applicable in variations and repertoire class.

Concrete learning objectives
The student:
•    develops knowledge of new steps, learns complicated jump and turn combinations (boys) and challenging point work (girls)
•    can perform complex combinations and develops knowledge of bravura technique
•    can connect the class with what is learned in the classical ballet class as well as with what is expected in the variation and repertoire classes
•    is able to recognize, name and actively use different musical rhythms, coordination and matching idioms

Method (s) used
In group lessons the student learns complicated combinations and bravura technique. There is also a lot of individual coaching in these lessons.
In BA 2/3 this class can also be used (like the variation lesson) as preparation for audition videos and material that can be filmed for auditions.
