Short summary of the content
Workshops are repertoire lessons that focus intensively (in a short period) on a particular work, part of a ballet or a certain choreographer and style.
The student is introduced to a different style, different way of working and is challenged to apply the learned technique in a situation such as it would be in the professional field and often outside the “comfort zone”. Workshops are often related to demonstration or final performances and can be used to prepare or study a particular work for these performances.
Sometimes the focus in a workshop will be on a particular choreographer and associated techniques, way of working, thinking and applying.

Concrete learning objectives
The student:
•    develops knowledge of new styles, works, repertoire or working methods of a particular choreographer in a very focused period.
•    shows a sense of dance that is broader than the classical ballet language and can apply the learned technique to other styles and shapes and is able to make connections or understand differences and actively understand and apply them physically
•    can physically perform a different style at the end of a period and also has the knowledge to explain the differences in words.
•    shows a sense of different styles and develops personality in dance styles
•    is able to perform a repertoire piece during performances
