The Modern Theatre Dance study programme is an art course. The programme aims to stimulate and develop a student’s potential talent and make him/her skilled in performing, conveying emotion, contributing ideas and co-creating within contemporary dance. To that end education has been subdivided into different clusters: dance subjects, dance support subjects, theory subjects and supplementary education.

The curriculum of the Modern Theatre Dance study programme consists of a propaedeutic phase of one year and a main phase of three years. Taking into consideration the extensive curriculum of the study programme, only a limited number of extramural activities (in or outside dance) are permitted, and only after close consultation with the artistic directorate.
