Korte samenvatting van de inhoud:
The Sensorial body
Movement can be originated in an aesthetic idea or image.
But as the body is the instrument of the dancer:

  • Movement – action – motion
  • The technological – technical body
  • The total performer
  • life – increasing experiences while moving
  • Connection between the body and the brain while moving / bodily connectivity
  • Active – passive relations
  • The cross fade: Linear timeline (horizontal) – Multi tasking (Vertical)
  • Pre informed – real time flow of information

Concrete leerdoelen:
De student:

  1. plays / dances ....In a more concious and economic (ander woord?) way.
  2. Is able to make a decision on HOW to perform the movement or the sequence so it is not an autometised action. They dance in variety of flow, efforts, synamics and impulses.
  3. shows a better control over thier bodies and the possibility to be conciuos of thier acitivity and energy.
  4. shows that they are able to coordinate thier body within a total body action but also in connectivity and in variuos body parts. They are more aware of thier environment, the spetial context of thier movement and the personal/general kinesphere.
  5. The student is in better shape (has build up a better stamina, etc.) (cardio) and able to carry longer sequences of dance and information.
  6. shows that they connect to a place of pleasure in their practice and are eager to push thier b oundries even more. (anders verwoorden).
  7. A student after this block is capable of working on inner and outer focus at the same time. Discover the deepest working layers and organic antomical structure and capabilities of one’s body. She/he is able to work out of thinking and planning and not only by repetition, and able to work and navigate between the feeling of failour to succes in a productive way.

Indepth explanation of the content: The Sensorial body

Movement can be originated in an aesthetic idea or image.

But as the body is the instrument of the dancer:

  • Movement – action – motion
  • The technological – technical body
  • The total performer
  • life – increasing experiences while moving
  • Connection between the body and the brain while moving / bodily connectivity
  • Active – passive relations
  • The cross fade: Linear timeline (horizontal) – Multi tasking (Vertical)
  • Pre informed – real time flow of information

Developing the technical skills by learning mechanisms and adjusting pre-learned patterns---attending a technological attitude towards the development of the bosy; new ways to look and accumulate skills.

Training the body in a multi tasking functional way, browsing through information and connecting the senses to a trained body in real time activism.

Assigning the body in order to create a multitasking body.

Awakening the nervily operated systems and creating a flow of information that is rarely disturbed by judgmental or negative criticism.

We can compare it with meditation or exhaustion..

Both states that allow us to “BE” in the moment.

***Inner space merging to outer space

***Inside to outside and vs

***Successive

***Start somewhere – ends somewhere else ; deviation of  pathways \= forced alert

***The narratives of the body

***All those secret places

We are talking about exquisite performers, well trained and crafted that are inspired and nourished by the daily. Their daily sensorial, emotional and intellectual experiences and  their daily narratives.

Activity of that sort creates a maximal concentration and embodiment of information and actions. Together with our former and technical knowledge, we create a crafted movement that can be articulated and precise. The command becomes the content and not only the formal execution.

We learn to “surrender” to our functional state and the connection between the body and the brains is direct and what I will call “clean”, from a physical perspective; there is no interpretation- only the movement itself, full of content because of its origin.

This surrendering or giving in (to the moment) allows our body to surprise us. The physical impulses are as strong as our “ thinking “ / conscious decision-making decision making and we can operate on both levels – awareness and impulsion.
