Course content
During this course the student is required to conduct a research project about a dance and health, anatomy or injury prevention issue, using the “zevensprong” as a guideline. Ultimately the student will write a paper and hold a presentation in front of their class and a panel of professionals. 

Learning objectives
The student:
- acquires knowledge through books, internet, lessons and other sources. Understand and gain knowledge of how dance and anatomy relate to injury prevention. 
- writes an individual paper about a topic related to dance anatomy and / or injury prevention. 
- is capable of applying acquired knowledge to dance-practice. 
- gives a practical explanation / presentation of a chosen topic related to the field of dance, anatomy and / or injury prevention.

Study material 
The student uses the ”zevensprong” as a guideline when writing their paper. This helps step-by-step to write a well-structured paper. It serves to guide them through different phases of writing: orientation-phase (step 1,2), idea-phase (step 3,4,5), realization-phase (6,7) and harvesting-phase (submitting paper) 
For their project the students are obliged to choose a subject relating to dance, health, anatomy and/or injury prevention. They choose a subject they are interested in or want to know more about. 

Assessment method: 
On completion the students are expected to give a presentation of their paper before the class and a panel of professionals. This project demands that students work with a high degree of independence. 
Criteria for literature used 
•    A minimum of 2 scientific articles / books. 
•    Literature that is as up-to-date as possible. (Not older than 5 years) 
•    No Wikipedia or other unreliable or unverified sources.
